The L'Enfant boundaries were developed as an outline of the L'Enfant Street Centerline file from DC GIS (HistStLn). The Northern boundaries were matched to the Planimetric street centerline dataset for the following streets: Florida Ave, NW (North-East from Rock Creek then South-East), 15th St, NE (South), C St, NE (East to Anacostia River) Boundaries following street centerlines have been digitized to a high degree of accuracy. The southern boundares generally follow water bodies, Rock Creek on the west, Potomac River on the south, and Anacostia River on the east. Those lines are very coarse and will need to be refined at some future point.
