<PRE ID="original">The District Office of Planning updated the ward boundaries to reflect the revised legislation due to the 10 year redistricting effort.   OCTO then took those snapped boundaries and selected snapbase feature, such as street centerlines and shoreline, where the boundaries overlapped.  Two line files were formed, areas where the boundaries overlapped snapbase features and the original OLP boundary between the snapbase lines.  Staff then merged the two layers together, constructed polygons, and appended the basic 2002 attributes to the layer.

Note that these boundaries do split certain Census Blocks.</PRE>
