Bank Branch locations. The dataset contains locations and attributes of Bank Branches, created as part of the DC Geographic Information System (DC GIS) for the D.C. Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) and participating D.C. government agencies.
A database provided by the Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB) identified Bank Branch locations.
All DC GIS data is stored and exported in Maryland State Plane coordinates NAD 83 meters.
METADATA CONTENT IS IN PROCESS OF VALIDATION AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

An excel spreadsheet containing Bank Branch address information in DC was received by the Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB). The data was cleaned up and imported into MS Access for use with the MAR Batch Geocoder. 13 of 223 records did not match automatically. Several were simply misspelled or had the wrong quadrant. Address information was verified using each Branch's official website. 4 records were not found in the MAR and were submitted to the MAR team.
